Which has a lot of new materials and production methods invented inside the mid-20th century, a barrage of recent frame styles soon followed suit and massive round frames found they’d slipped off of the stylistic radar. This wasn’t no more the queue for round frames though. Oh no! Whether or not it was a nod on the intellectual heroes that have worn them decades before, or perhaps the fact they may be found dirt-cheap used, the hippy movement of the 60s adopted the design since the unofficial frames of the peace loving movement. Now manifesting as sunglasses and opticals, big round glasses had doubly secured their place in pop culture history, being previously written to the stylistic history books as part of, it's unlikely that any, but two cultural revolutions.



And it’s the truth that this classic style can certainly still conjure up a picture of refined, studious authority that’s meant big round framed specs have not strayed too much through the frame style peripheral. It’s why they’ve been the option of thinkers and visionaries alike. Above all, though, it’s why the frame style is coming back a big way almost a hundred years after its first foray on the frontlines of favor.

Big Rounded lenses are probably the few true retro classics; An item of fashion history that may still pull weight today. As frames, they’re a detailed rounder. They appear top-notch small and wirey, or massive and chunky. They're able to down an appearance having a stamp of intellectualism, or they're able to invoke a sense care-free psychedelia. And while they are certainly not always suitable for rounder faces, they actually do a great job of suiting most face shape.
